Thank you for your interest in the post of Key Stage 2 Teacher.
We are a Trust of nine schools, all based in South East London. Whilst each of our schools maintains its individuality, we share a common mission: to ensure that every single child and young person in our care is successful at school so that they can flourish and be successful in their lives. May I take this opportunity to thank you for expressing an interest in the post of Key Stage 2 Teacher at Haberdashers’ Knights Primary.
Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South is a Multi-Academy Trust of nine schools, (four secondary and five primary), supported by our professional learning arm, the Habs Institute.
At Haberdashers’ Knights Primary we provide targeted support and a broad education to enable each and every one of our children to reach their full potential and to grow into well-rounded members of our community and aim to ensure all the children and young people who come to our schools:

Our main sponsor is the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies of the City of London. Education is hugely important to the Haberdashers’ Company and today there are more than 12,000 children and young people in its’ family of 19 schools. Each year, a number of Year 13 pupils receive scholarships that will support them financially through university and the Company fund a number of projects throughout the school year. Temple Grove Schools Trust
Temple Grove Schools Trust is a charitable trust dedicated to raising standards for primary education. The Trust was founded some 50 years ago and springs from one of the country’s oldest prep schools, Temple Grove founded in 1810. Role Description
About the role The Key Stage 2 Teacher at Haberdashers' Knights Primary plays a vital role in delivering high-quality education that supports both academic progress and the wider development of every pupil. The successful candidate will plan and deliver consistently strong lessons in line with the National Curriculum and established schemes of work, setting clear objectives and using effective assessment to track and support progress. They will create engaging and challenging learning experiences that build on prior attainment, maintaining pace, motivation, and high expectations throughout. The role requires careful monitoring of pupil progress, with timely intervention to ensure excellent learning outcomes and positive behaviour. In addition to classroom teaching, the teacher will provide pastoral support, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the personal, social, and emotional development of all pupils.
What You’ll Do • Plan and deliver consistently good lessons • Carry out teaching duties, as required, in accordance with the schemes of work
and the National Curriculum • Identify clear teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and
assessed. • Set tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high level of interest. • Set clear targets building on prior attainment. • Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge. • Make effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of the programmes of
study, • Ensure effective teaching and the best use of available time. • Monitor and intervene to ensure excellent learning and discipline • Provide pastoral support to ensure development of the whole pupil.

Role Description
Key Duties Main Responsibilities • To teach and nurture the students in your class to reach their full potentials
• To take into account the students’ special needs and ensure their access to the
lesson and its content though appropriate clarification, explanations,
equipment and materials.
• To build and maintain successful relationships with students, treat them
consistently with respect and consideration.
• To help promote independent learning.
• To help reinforce learning.
• To develop study and organisational skills.
• To help keep the students on task and to build motivation.
• To model good practice.
• To help build the student/s’ confidence and enhance self-esteem.
• To have formal and informal meeting with teachers to contribute to planning
lessons/activities.
• To plan and prepare materials and resources.
• To plan and prepare students beforehand for a task.
• To work on differentiated activities with identified activities with identified
groups.
• To carry out structed classroom assessment/observation and feedback
outcomes.

If you score well against this criteria, you will then be invited to attend an interview. Details will be made available when selected, but the interview is likely to include:
