Job: Award Coordinator (part-time)

Employer: Educational Charity

Actual Annual Salary: £29,250

Daily gross salary: £186

Start date: September 2025 or as soon as possible

Contract: Self-employed, 3 days a week, 52 weeks a year, initially for 1 year, hybrid – working from home but regular travel to visit school sites across England. Availability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and overnight stays is required.

 

Aston Education is working with an educational charity looking for a dynamic Award Coordinator to co-ordinate the successful delivery of a new Award programme for technical education and to support the delivery of events.

 

The Award is aimed at 14–18-year-olds. It recognises and celebrates vital elements of technical education which prepare young people with the skills and attributes to be successful in the world of work. Think of it as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for employability.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support schools to engage with the Award programme
  • Provide support to schools to deliver the various elements of the Award
  • Report to the CEO and trustees on participation levels
  • Organise and lead online and face-to-face training on the Award
  • Work with colleagues to deliver a wide range of partnership projects
  • Support to deliver in-person and online events

 

You have:

  • Good level of secondary education including grade C in GCSE English Language or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level is desirable
  • Experience working with young people, ideally secondary age
  • Experience working with employers is desirable
  • Ability to form strong relationships with wide range of stakeholders: employers, teachers, parents and students
  • Flexible and proactive attitude
