Job: Subject Leader for PSHCE

Start date: 17th August 2026
Annual Tax-Free Salary: £34,500 - £40,000 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)
Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years
Aston Education is working with The School of Research Science, a thriving and vibrant international school, in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-time Subject Leader for PSHCE to start in August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent Teacher of PSHCE / PSHE or a middle leader to develop their leadership skills in supporting colleagues in strengthening their practice.

The job responsibilities include:
As a Subject Leader for PSHCE, you’ll be responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, delivery, and quality assurance of Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education across the school.
PSHCE will be introduced at the school for the first time in August 2026, and the post holder will play a key role in establishing the curriculum, systems, and expectations from the outset. PSHCE will be delivered as a discrete subject for one hour per week in Years 7 and 8, and through tutor time provision in Year 9.
You’ll teach PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) for KS3. In addition, if you have Psychology teaching experience, you could also teach Psychology to GCSE, preparing students for the IGCSE exam.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- PGCE and QTS / QTLS
- Degree in a related field
- Successful UK teaching experience in PSHCE / PSHE at secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for PSHCE / PSHE
- Proven track record of improving teaching and learning
- Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
