Job: Cover Supervisor

Employer: Secondary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London

Actual Annual Salary: £26,146 - £29,977 

Start date: As soon as possible 

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays 8am to 4pm, 44 week-contract

Aston Education is looking for a dynamic and flexible Cover Supervisor to join this Ofsted Good 11-18 mainstream secondary school in Lewisham, Southeast London.

Responsibilities include:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be covering registration and lessons for absent colleagues. The role will involve providing cover across all subjects and to oversee classes of students aged 11-16.

Your responsibilities include managing a classroom and ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. You will play your part in the education of the pupils.

Experience and skills required:

• Cover Supervisor experience within a secondary school environment
• Ability to demonstrate a good classroom presence and good teacher pupil relationships
• Good organisational skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• GCSE English & Maths grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
