Job: Assistant Headteacher (Secondary)

Start date: 17th August 2026
Annual Tax-Free Salary: £40,000 - £56,000 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)
Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years
Aston Education is working with a thriving and vibrant international school in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-time Secondary Assistant Headteacher with a focus on Assessment and Curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent Middle or Senior Leader with a proven track record of improving Assessment and Curriculum standards in a secondary school.

The job responsibilities include:
The Assistant Headteacher will work closely alongside the Headteacher and the Secondary Senior Management team to ensure outstanding outcomes for their students.
Your role will focus on leading on Assessment and Curriculum across the secondary school and sixth form.
As an Assistant Headteacher, you’ll have a teaching responsibility for 12 lessons a week.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- QTS
- Bachelor of Education (BEd) or PGCE and a relevant degree
- Proven track record of leading and improving Assessment and Curriculum standards in a secondary school
- Successful UK leadership and management experience in a secondary school
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and Assessment
- Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of course such as NPQSL, NPQML (Desirable)
