Job: Head of Governance and Performance
Employer: Sixth Form College
Location: Victoria in central London or Manchester
Annual FTE Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Contract: Part-time 2-3 days/week, permanent, hybrid (1-2 days per week on campus), 52 weeks a year

Aston Education is looking for a Head of Governance and Performance to join this Sixth Form College near Victoria station in Central London. Their Ofsted is Good with Outstanding features.
The College aims to educate and empower diverse digital talent. They use technology (tech) as a tool for social mobility and addressing the diversity and gender gaps in the tech sector.
Purpose of the Role
The College is seeking a dynamic Head of Governance and Performance to join their wider leadership team, to work with the Board of Governors and College leadership team, in achieving their strategic and statutory responsibilities.
You’ll work closely with the Chair of Governors as the College’s Clerk and report into the Director of Finance and Compliance.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience required
- Experience supporting Board of Governors and a college/school leadership team including writing agendas and accurate minutes
- Experience as a Governance Professional or Clerk for Local Governance at a school/college
- An understanding of the cycle of annual meetings and ability to plan meetings accordingly
- Level 3 certification in Clerking of School and Governing Boards (CGI) is desirable
- A good understanding of school/college governance and statutory requirements
- High level of attention to detail
