Job: Food Technology Teacher (KS2)

Start date: 19th August 2026
Annual Tax-Free Salary: £26,500 - £32,400 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)
Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years
Aston Education is working with The School of Research Science, a thriving and vibrant British international school, in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-time Food Technology Teacher to teach KS2 starting in August 2026.

The job responsibilities include:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you’ll join the Design Technology Department and teach Food Technology to KS2 and possibly KS3 students.
You’ll implement policies and practices which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning.
You’ll use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving and create and implement effective plans of action to support those students.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- PGCE and QTS / QTLS
- Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Home Economics or related field
- Successful UK teaching experience in Food Technology at secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology
- Strong understanding of food technologies, nutrition principles, safety standards, and practical cooking skills
- Proven track record of improving teaching and learning
- Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
