Job: Head of Business Department

Location: Sixth Form, near Victoria station, central London

Contract: Permanent, full-time, Mondays to Fridays 9am to 5pm

Annual Salary: £52,800 – 54,385

Benefits: Teachers’ pension scheme and generous holidays

Start date: September 2025

 

Aston Education is looking for a Head of Business Department to join this Sixth Form College near Victoria station in Central London. Their Ofsted is Good with Outstanding features.

 

You will develop high quality content and deliver excellent lessons in A level Business Studies maintaining outstanding standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

 

There will be opportunities for you to lead on elements of the course suited to your individual expertise as well as to team teach to develop your skills in others.

 

You’ll teach small classes of Year 12 and 13 and the behaviour is generally very good.

 

They are seeking a talented Business Studies Teacher with middle management experience and QTS / QTLS. You’ll also have A level Business Studies teaching experience with a strong subject knowledge and record of impact on students’ outcomes and progress.

 

Computer Science/Computing/ IT at Level 2 or 3 teaching experience is desirable.  

 

The College’s vision is to practically educate their young people in digital skills, to be ready for life in the tech sector, working closely with employers.
